Cannulaide is sized to fit the cannula. This helps keep the prongs straight and positioned in the nares, away from the sides

The pressure seal is maintained by Cannulaide rather than the infant’s nose so there is no need for the prongs to touch the nose. When the seal is maintained against the patient’s nasal mucosa, it is often necessary to switch to larger and larger prongs in order to maintain a competent pressure seal. Since the larger size prongs are farther apart, they add to the patient’s irritation. With the Cannulaide making the pressure seal, you don’t have to use the larger prongs and irritation is minimized.

The holes for the prongs have slits that increase the Cannulaide’s ability to maintain its seal while the patient moves.

Cannulaide works with leading prongs to provide a reliable, observable air seal. Cannulaide is translucent to aid in inspecting the condition of the patient’s nares, which should be done frequently.

Secure nasal cannulas gently with “Sticky Whiskers™”

Securing tubes to infants has proven to be a challenge. In the past, cannulas have often been held in place with tapes that are too aggressive causing skin issues or requiring significant handling of the infant in order to relocate the device. However, if the adhesive is too light, the tubes become dislodged.

Our Sticky Whiskers Velcro® interface allows a cannula to be secure yet still repositionable.

After applying the Sticky Whiskers™ to the upper lip, simply wrap the soft Velcro® loop strips around the cannula “like a candy cane” and place your cannula in place directly under the nose. No tension on the septum, ears or taping the tubing to the face causing face creases.

The Sticky Whiskers™ can also be used to secure OG tubes if necessary. The soft Velcro® tabs can be secured to the OG tube in a “flag” configuration. When it’s time to change sides, the flag can be moved from one side to the other with good confidence of tube depth being consistent.

Unlike artificial noses, tee pieces, etc. the Tilson Trach Guard has a low profile and doesn’t get clogged by even copious secretions or coughed-up mucous plugs. The Trach Guard is reported to be effective at stopping or deflecting these bits so they are not projected forward.

The Tilson Trach Guard is designed for use on tracheotomized pediatric patients. At Risk for Occlusion
Chubby chin, poor head control, other neuromuscular difficulties. The Tilson Trach Guard is helpful when your patient is off the ventilator and hasn’t been decannulated.

History of Accidental Occlusion or Unidentified Episodes of Oxygen DesaturationHistory of Readmission for “Mystery Problems”
